Those Wild and Crazy Humans

In Lafayette, California Donald Miller, 78, registered his poodle, Barnabas, to vote three years ago pleaded guilty to a charge of misdemeanor fraud and paid a fine of $250. He said he did it to protest the voter registration process. Miller registered Barnabas as a Republican and it was confirmed by Contra Costa County officials.

Miller said Barnabas never voted but did get a summons for jury duty. The summons was returned with a note saying, "I have a short attention span, I have to go to the bathroom quite often and besides, I'm a dog".
